No, not really.
I have a ground kit and have a 1000W+ system. I get the dim as well. However, its not THAT bad. With ALL the accesories running (fogs, rear defrost and all night time driving lights) the out put goes from 14.5V down to about 12.5 at idle. As soon as you breath on the gas pedal though it shoots back up to 14.5.

No biggie. Still a great mod in my opinion.

Here is something I found on AEM's website, not sure if its been asked or addressed so I thought I'd bring it up. Is this true for our car aswell?

Question
Why doesn’t AEM make a crank pulley?
Answer
Virtually all of the cars we make Tru-Power pulleys for come equipped with a vibration dampener mounted to the crank from the factory. Aftermarket crank pulleys require the removal of these dampeners, which are required for engine life. Their removal can cause damage to your engine over time. If the manufacturers could save on vehicle costs by eliminating this device they would have done so.

When you get the belt, the belt # will be on the package. You can buy belt from any autoparts store. As for 02-03s, we are working on a a lightweight one for you. It may not be underdriven but for sure will cut 3/4s of the weight off of it!

rock, do you have any comments about what psychlancer said above. Do you know if this is true, or maybe we have a different type of pulley system than they are talking a bout. I am really interested but i would like to know they are safe for my engine.

duck it, im gonna get them regardless. If down the road they cause engine troubles i will just take them off and sell the car. not like it will be worth much down the road anyway.

I've had mine on for about 5K miles... (a couple 300 mile trips) and it's working perfectly!!!

That can be true but in most instances, the pulley on a stock motors cost manufacterers a $2 dollars. THey are not balanced unto themselves because they are cast pieces. Our pulley are CNCed and completely balanced units.
