i think adam meant that the 1-2 shifts are so much smoother.. haha but yea i see the difference, today i ran up a deserted blocked off road today from a dig with the dampener and with out it. And i must say with my new tires on, i grip and have little to no wheel hop launching at about 2400-3000K... Also it makes shifting so much smoother.

This setup is nice because if you get the aftermarket motor mounts you'll find that engine vibration causes vibration in the cabin, which is a pain (for me since i'm always driving passengers to/from and i don't want to hear their complainin'). Whereas with teh dampener there is no cabin vibration, although i'm still going to get the motor mounts cause i don't want my engine moving at all.. haha

Trust me, this damper is well worth it. Lets put it this way, last week my bolt vibrated loose on the damper and I could tell it was gone the first time I got on it because I could feel the engine slap like it did before I had this. I thought that I broke it again like I did on the test parts but that wasn't the case. I just bolted it back on and everything was all good. I was pretty skeptical about how much of a difference this would make but the car feels really sloppy without it now.

As far as getting the engine mounts with this, I think mine would be perfect if I could find a tranny mount to stiffen up the driver side to match the passenger side with the damper.

This thing is great. Downshifts are alot smoother. and i had no idea how much wheel hop i must have had off the line. now its time to beef up my suspension a little and save up for the turbo!!

 

I'm in between getting this and a shortshifter, chances are I'll end up gettin this. Lanzer, lemme know how it goes after you get yours!
