Im getting the Jdm grille for my 02. im thinking of spraying the diamonds with color shifting paint. has anyone done it? does it look good? or should i be the guinea pig?

 

I have color shifting paint on a few of my interior pieces. It looks ok, but not very classy. I'm actually quite tired of it now and I'm planning on stripping the paint to do a carbon fiber overlay on my dash pieces.

Its your car, if you think it'll look hot then go for it. Our opinions shouldnt really matter. But it could look really gawdy depending on what color you do it. And then you'll be stuck with it unless you buy a new diamond emblem. If the whole car was color changing then yeah it might be a nice accent piece. But if thats the only thing on the car it'll probably look really out of place.

 

YEAH, MY CAR IS YELLOW, MAYBE IF IT WAS BLACK IT WOULD LOOK BETTER. but i was planning on making all the exterior chrome, color shift. but yeah, the more i think of it, the less i want to do it.

 

dont think it would look good, especially on yellow.

would be better on dark colors than on light colors....and green should never be seen...

 

by color shifting you mean from like green to purple like those jacked up cars riding on 26" rims like i see downtown?

ya, theres no way im doing it now. but i dont like the chrome on my car, i need to find something that would make the chrome match my OZ rims. anyone know a technique to acheive this?

 

what color is your car? i painter my grill black and put a sticker over the in the matching color with your car. just a suggestion.

my car is yellow. but your car biggins looks nice. but i just got my jdm grille. im convinced not to paint them with color shift. the mega gay comment convinced me.
