I noticed when doing mine everything is a real tight fit, if it's not lined up perfectly before you put it back together, it'll bind the needle up, check that first.

where did you plug it in? i can't locate where i need to put the red and black wires, the power and ground.... i looked around and can't pinpoint it, and what about that extra wire with the 4 buttons on it?

The red wire is just a 12v line in, and the black-a ground, I just tapped my 12v off the switch for the headlights, so when I turn em on, those come on, then ground to chassis metal. As far as four buttons on a wire??? Mine came with an ajdustable knob ( a pot to the electronics buffs) to change from blue to green. I never had any buttons. You have to take off the steering wheel shaft covers to access the white plug that runs to that headlight switch. If you have a meter, it comes in handy at this point.

ok......

this is what i plan to do with this piece you were talking about, put it behind the air duct to the left of the cluster. then have that wire come down into the cubby hole. so that will change the color from blue to green...interesting.

i had reverse indiglos in an S-10 once...they looked great overall, but were a bit fuzzy or blurry looking (especially the fuel, seat belt etc lights). has anyone noticed this with the Lancer ones? curious b/c i'm torn between making my gauges match my alpine headunit, or getting the next alpine model up from mine so that it will be red. thanks for any info.
