taillights

Is it possible to remove the cover on the taillights and replace it with a different cover? I know some people have taken them apart for painting the housing or whatever, just wondering if it'd at all feasible to put something else on over them.

Don't those come as a complete taillight? I'm saying keeping the stock taillights, just switching out the crystal cover for a custom one.

I'll take a picture of what mine look like right now. I have custom covers that are just taped over the stock taillight. It looks just fine right now, but I thought maybe it'd look more streamlined if I took out the cover on the taillights and fit the custom covers onto it.

Ew I don't like those cheap covers you have now. Just leave the tails stock, or get the Evo VII style from RRM.

I don't want the EVO style, and I like my covers. I want a unique lancer, not a dime-a-dozen one.

Why don't you just paint the outside of the taillight with your pattern rather than trying to cover them. Color match to body.

Because the only other Lancer I have seen with these covers color matched them and they looked beautiful. I will eventually color match them, but I'm repainting the entire ride. So once I get all the body mods put on, I'll just paint the entire car. For now, black looks just fine. They came black.

I have never seen a civic with covers even resembling this. Everyone has altezza's. And a civic hardly compares to a lancer, I proved that the other night.
