PIAA problems
My left side bulb just blew out today, which in itself is nothing new but the bulbs I have are PIAAs, which are meant to last for a lot longer than like 10 months. The weird thing is its just the low beam, the high beam still works perfectly fine. Has anyone else had this weird issue with the PIAAs and if so what the hell did you do about it? Did you contact PIAA or just cut your loses? I'm probably just gonna go get some Sylvanias tomorrow, not gonna spend 90$ on bulbs that blow so damn early.

actually that happened to me, but not w/ my PIAA's. i had some aftermarket purple bulbs from CUZO. Loved those bulbs, were only $32, but umm, my low beam on the left headlight was not working, so i had to drive around w/ my "hi's " on

same exact thing happened to my buddy after 1 month. technically piaa has a 1 year warranty. well he sent in his bulbs for warranty. 5 months later and still nothing. everytime he calls they give him a different excuse of why they havent shipped them out yet. basically he just gave up. not worth calling them in my opinion. if you can, check around and see if you can find "blue zone" by seltek. same quality, if not better than piaa. i've had mine for over a year now, and no problems. they are 4500*k color. nice/good stuff. normally run anywhere from 55-85 depending on where you go.
I've had so many bulbs break in my headlights. I just upgraded the harness and rigged a fuse to them. Havent had a break in almost a year now. I think our harnesses just suck.

naw..... most of the time its just the quality of the bulbs. i've seen some ebay bulbs do a lot worse than just burn out fast. some melt harness, i've even seen one melt the whole headlight housing.

I got the sylvanias since it was basically those or crappy motomaster bulbs. I noticed something wierd when installing them though, on the passenger side headlight there seems to be a plug thats not in use. Its an orangey-brown colored hook up, but there doesn't seem to be anything around to hook it up to. Anybody know what the crap this is for?
Bulbs are all sketchy, period.
I had some Eurolites. Both driver and passenger burned out in a month. Then I got some used Silverstars, and they've been fine for nearly a year. Luck of the draw.
PS - thank you all for saving me the money that I was going to waste on a set of PIAAs!
