Of course I do tristage. I do gelcoat (if needed), primer, basecoat, clearcoat.

The first car I painted I did the whole tri-stage treatment. I painted a lancer with an apex kit lamborghini black... the owner's car got repo-ed before I got a chance to get pix. It was ****ing beautiful. Sanded the whole car down to it's bare metal, glazecoated the whole car, primered applied 3 layers of basecoat, then applied 2 wet coats of clear. Colorsanded then buffed for a grand finale.

Now THAT is a color to be custom painting a car

Im going to be painting mine pearl white with orange flakes in it (the 350z burnt orange color flakes).

ic... why dont try with gold pearl? This BMW #400 cost too much.... 29 bucks for 1/2 pint. Imagine for the whole car.

You want expensive paint? Try House of color's Chameleon effect paint... costs like $300-400 per pint.
