well.. i went to my economics class to take my final this morning. and i was feeling good about myself cuz i past!!! and anyways, i walk to my car admiring it... and then i saw it... i frowned and went over to look at my hood, thinkin some bird has his way with it, only to see.. i freaked heres a picture, i dunno how this happened but i am so saddened, it looks like yellow hazeed cracks..not too bad.. i need to know u guys, what should i do... if theres anyone in the area (socal) then let me kno if u wanna trade up (silver hood) for my hood.. i might be doing the trade anytime now, depending on what i decide..... thanks for ur opinions guys let me kno if u are interested.. quality of the hood is good im so sad now it was my pride......

see pic i loaded above,,, its like a crack underneath the gel coat.. theres no touchable crack.. just internal... i think something hit it, ie some ***** with a baseball who didnt leave a note... they were just gettin out of practice when i left....(yes i kno out of season but dont ask me.)

 

^i mean is it really that noticeable?....if so and there are no marks on the clearcoat then take it up with the manufacurer...for all you know..its a flaw...OH..btw...im getting mine this week

 

It's hard to see the scale of the damage. The picture looks like an ocean bay with a big fire burning on the beach...

 

that sucks. its kinda hard to tell what happened with the picture. it might look kind of cool if you paint it. i've only seen the outsides painted and they left the cf on the insode, so it def would be different!

 

it just looks discolored... thats all nothing Huge but enough to bother any perfectionist... and i am that,,,, so ill post better pics up soon... i just kinda wanna paint it... it is just ugly... i would trade a silver lancer though.. people who goin for speed wont mind... they could just paint it too, it does reduce weight quite a bit though...

I think the raw carbon-fiber look has run its course anyway it's way too trendy. If I got a carbon fiber hood I would paint it. I guess i'm a hypocrit though because I like how my wing looks with the carbon-fiber on the inside.

 

i feel for you man is there any way you can take a bigger pic i cant tell where it is but it looks like its in the middle maby. you could allway paint just the middle of the hood or if its on the outside paint just the out sides any way good luck

anyways, sucks that happened, but really its not very noticeable imo. no big deal to me, but you should paint it anyways since you have a silver lancer.
