If you take some real fine sandpaper, you can wet sand it down a little, and if you sand too much, just add more clearcoat. Just do it easy so you do not start going into the paint.

ohh man......

but seriously, it is in a lot of DIY steps in the how to section. basically, you use a very fine grit of sand paper in combination with water to get a very smooth sanded surface. it is really a good idea to do so in between clear coat layers i believe. check the how to section or look up kareem's work.

When you're looking at the auto parts store section for painting, you'll see lots of wet-dry sandpaper. Just as said above, use this (maybe 800 grit or higher - I prefer higher) and literally sand it while wet to get a very light roughing of the paint between coats. That should get rid of any gray hazing you're seeing, but you'll have to first sand it down to the paint color again and start the clearcoating again.

if it says Wet-dry, most likely it should be wet...

dry - use it dry
wet - use it wet
wet/dry - becareful using it dry, better wet.

I did prolly the dumbest thing but hell it worked, i sprayed another coat on and then where there were some lil grey spots while the coat that I just applied was wet smoothed the globs with my finger. Heh. don't know HOW it worked but it did, after that i had some finger smugs so i put another coat on and it worked out.
But thats cause im not smart enough to know what wet sanding was...
thanks for the help very much appreciated, next time i won't have to live on the WILD side
