Cool CF ViS vs. CF RRM Grills...Wacha Think?

OK, here's the deal. I just got my ViS CF Evo style hood in yesterday and it is amazing! From just looking at the pictures on the ViS website, I really didnt like the look of the grill that came with it. So, I planned on just transfering my RRM cf Evo style grill onto the new hood. Easy enough, right? Wrong! Here's the facts:

CF ViS Grill:
1) Matches the weave (2x2) of the hood
2) Mesh matches the rest of the mesh on the hood (black metal mesh)
3) Fits perfect and is installed
4) Thong Style (OEM CF)

CF RRM Grill (ver.1):
1) Different type of cf (non-2x2 twill)
2) Has black mesh (plastic and different style)
3) Fits good once its restled into place and multiple #!&% are said.
4) The beauty of the Evo style

Which one do you think I should use? The other will be sold. Here's a few pics to help you out!

BTW: Im looking for which one you think would look best on MY car, not which one looks best in general. Because if we are just talking grills, I like the RRM one, but there's lots more to it when there's a cf hood and a specific car in mind!

RRM:

And a pic of my car for reference:

I like the VIS better than the RRM (which explains why I have one and had the other).

I actually like the RRM one better. The Vis one looks like the stock thong in CF... I'm not a big fan of the thong and can't wait till I have a chance to take it off.

I thought Cerious Performance was going to be making a CF grill for the Lancer. They were supposed to be making a Ralliart replica and a Evo VIII, but I don't think that ever happened.

Stick with the thong style......The style of it isn't that great but most importantly the weaves match and it looks like it's supposed to be there, unlike the weird weave of the RRM one.

I like RRMs. I wish there were other options out there for our grill.

Besides - you KNOW the VIS grill is going to fit the hood perfectly without gaps, etc.

And if the weave doesn't match, it'll look ghetto.

if the weave doesn't match, it will just look cheap. After spending the cash for a good quality hood, you don't want to take away from that. Best of luck either way

i got mine too. had ta pay more since lancerlot took my deal!? haha j/k man. i ended up paying like 530 for mine. but i am planning to keep the thong on there till someone makes a matching weave. it looks really bad when they dont match. i was actually thinking about putting the black vent/things from the stock grill into the cf one, but that might look bad.

cerious is supposed to be making a Ralliart CF grill but are taking their time about it.. i want them to hurry up!

throw in a pic of your new hood on your car.
