Don't forget some people just plain and simply do not want to turbocharge their cars, such as me. Sure having 180 whp would be great, but its simply not practical up here, in winter it'd be a pain in the ***, not to mention the warranty issue and finding a shop that I'd actually let do anything to my car. I do agree with you whole heartedly on the body kit and huge rims issue, I prefer function over costly looks.

 

Thats exactly why i'm debating of FI. I know alot of people who know everything about cars except turbocharging and I would'nt trust most shops around here to do it. The $4,000-$6,000 bill is another factor. In the mean time, suspension and wheels will have to do.

 

if you're not contemplating FI, blow all your money on suspension mods.

 

the stage 2 kit is in the future. but a i just blew 500$ last night to get a ticket (44 in a 25) knocked down to no points. god damnit

well...well... i say do what u want if u want performance decide na or rrm turbo.... then go with it, if u wanna be a ssupension ***** then get some ss and all bars... check out pdxralliart he has some awsome prices on bars... if u want show and not o on ur grocerey getter then do it. the lancer cannot be to fast until turboed and even then sucks some tail from many stock cars out there... i want a turbo but for me its not practical cuz i kno id kill myself or get so many tickets i would shoot myself in th face... i had a tegra gsr back in the day when i first got my licese... my bro turboed it for me and then i crashed a week later... yes best week of my life but at what price... to me its just not worth it to turbo my slow *** lancer id just rather save it for a down on a new nicer car. myt 02

 

i had plans to turbo the car early this year. but i've had quite a few financial setbacks (god damnit speeding tickets). soon enough. I dont plan on getting a new car anytime soon so I don't mind spending money on it. Its better than spending the money on a girl.

 

even though her reaction makes it worthwhile, her (and my) happy feelings last a LOT less time than it took to earn that cash.
