Hey cool new body kit!

K, now for my off-topic vent...

I love the Evo! I mean, everytime I see this car on the road my heart starts pounding and I stare at it like it was the hottest chick on the planet! (Seriously, I've almost wrecked because of this). One way or the other I will have one...

...but I gotta come out with this, and hopefully somebody will agree.

The Evo is a respected car, no doubt. In my opinion, this conversion is really only good for if you're on the move. When you're driving and other's around you only have time to glance at it, then you will get you're respect, well...because it just looks like an Evo...

...but perhaps let's say somebody with a faster car pulls up next to you, they confirm "hey it's an Evo." Well, are you going to let the fact that, you will not hang with the car next to you in you're Lancer knowing that the Evo would, rest on your conscious because you look like an Evo?

(For the english illiterate...what are you going to do when somebody demands the respect of the Evo?)

Sadly, you're not going to be able to show it to them...

...not that this matters as a priority but just a little detail that makes you feel good when owning a fast car. Now I'm all into customizing your car and making it fit you and we really don't need to go into that discussion because that has already been covered on these forums. However, the second somebody who has education on Evo's vs. Lancers discovers that your car is not an Evo, all respect is lost.

Dave please don't take this the wrong way, I love that you guys create this stuff for our cars. I have no direct relation to your business as of yet, and hopefully in the future I will.

For the sake of the Evo itself and other Evo owners...

Respect? wtf.. i've never done anything to my car to earn respect. The only reason i've ever done anything to it was to personalize it to my liking. If you want respect let others know that you don't give a **** about what they think because you'll do what you like with your car. That's my 2 pennies.

Well when they challege the respect of the EVO I will kindly laugh at them for burning their gas for an "ego trip" I see what you are saying, but I also see how I always wanted an EVO, but can not afford the payment, insurance, a soon to be born baby girl, and a mortgage. So if someone needs to feed their ego by dusting me then I would be glad to let them do so, I don't particularly need a fast car, but a car that performs well enough for me. People always hear me say this on EVOM, but people can do what they want with their own cars and it's nobody's right to tell them what to do or not to do with their car. You can give your opinion's, but you can't really tell people what they should do.
