I have the thunder grey and I want #3, so even though I voted for them, don't get them. Just kidding, what web site did you find those on? I'd like to have a peek.

 

what is a good weight for a rim? is 18 pounds alot? what do our 15's weigh? anyone know? anyone ?

 

i have a thunder gray ES....and i think you should consider sum bronze rims!! im in LOVE with the racing hart CP10's in bronze..but im not made of gold! i was thinking about gettin sum ones like #1 (when i get the money) but gunmetal with the lip and bronze is very JDM!! gotta love it. stray away from white!! good luck though!!

 

i like #1 and #5 . . . since you have a thunder grey lancer, #1 would look tight because when the wheels are spinning that chrome lip will shine up and look hot . . . im a fan of chrome lip rims . . . #5 is nice just cuz its kinda simple . . . those would be my choices . .. what size are you planning on getting? . . .

18 pnds isnt bad but u can find lighter... i myself once i get the cash together am goin with the 17 superleggras they weigh in at 15.2 lbs... you get what you pay for and they are pushin 400$ a piece lol but i would go with 5 for a gray lancer

Be careful on the roads. I already bent one of my wheels on a huge pothole (filled with rain no less) and I'm on 17's with a 45 profile tire. At any rate, I think black would look really stupid on a T-Grey car. I'm siding with Smokt on this one.

And yeah, trance. I'm sick of these threads too. Unfortunately I don't have anywhere else to put em. It's pretty annoying when they take up all the most recent posts (Especially ones with polls). I'm gonna see if it's possible to do anything about that.

This is the type of thing these forums are for. I hate to see all this whining over someone using the forums to gain knowledge on what he wants to do with his car. He only wants input from his peers to see what they think and hear their opinions. If it is such a problem maybe there should be a section made for these types of polls. I mean no disrespect to anyone but these forums are meant to be used to ask questions and members should not be scolded for doing just that.

i think hobie's point was that every other day there's a new thread about "which wheels should i get". these threads offer little to no new information or insight to other members. he is saying that he wishes that there could be a different section for exactly this type of post, so as to differentiate it from all the other threads. i kinda agree, cause i don't care what rims you put on your car, since it's your car and you have different tastes than i do. i'll offer my opinion if you want. it is too often however that a thread like this turns into a flame match because the owner gets ripped on by everyone else who thinks it's ugly.

 

Are those quality rims? They kinda look like wheels from Sams wholesale club.

 

Seems like some moderators are power mongers that try and match wits with everyone. Seems to me they should just be neutral until a serious rule is broken or some other worthwhile cause arises instead of complaining all the time.
