pgMike,

to do an overlay on the valve cover would be almost impossible because of the coils being raised....also, around the spark plugs you are gonna raise the height of the boot and change the tolerance of where it sits possibly causing a spark plug issue.

There is a pic of a CF valve cover for the Scion xA/xB.
http://www.modacar.com/products/Acura/Integra/MODAVAC/
There is one for the Acura Integra. All you need to make a CF valve cover is high temp resin cured with heat and waterproof/oilproof design. If you do a search on google, they make the CF valve cover for many cars. Just don't torque down the valve cover too tight. It doesn't need to be that tight if i remember correctly anyways. Somewhere around 15ft/lb per bolt?

spec sheet shows 30lb per bolt. the scion one looks like its a cover that goes over the original valve cover.....as for the integra one, never seen it used, the ricers prefer the red one and the jdm guys go for the yellow one

Yea.. maybe it is 30lb. I heard the stock valve cover will bend to much and leak if you tighten it up too much. You are right about the cover for the Scion.. it just replaces the existing plastic toyota uses over their valve covers, my bad. As for the Integra, that is made of CF with aluminum inserts so when you tighten it up, it won't crack the CF. Heat resistant resin for that one as well.

First off, that integra valve cover is $439, i see that is is heat resistant resin but what do you think the chances are that accolade will actually be able to build 1 correctly and fit perfect so it doesnt leak. This is totally different than a body kit that doesnt matter if it doesnt fit, if this doesnt fit you put your motor on the line, not just looks.

Also, the chances they they can produce it cheap.......not possible. Their body kits are worth less than $440 so I don't think many members would pay that for it.

Then again, there are people here that dont care about things not fitting so be it I guess, take your chances.
