Talking My New Toy.....

Here's my new little toy I just bought I cant wait to try this thing out!!!!!!!

RR Stands for Road Race. It has all the features below (Same as SS model) PLUS Road Race/Autocross mode in which you can record and replay your G's and RPM's for a given practice or race session. But this does not mean that this unit is only for road racing. It can be used on the street as well. Great for those who are after lateral performance as well as straight line performance numbers. This unit can also help you fine tune coilovers and various suspension components without ever setting foot on the racetrack or roadcourse. Since it has more features that measure G's as well as more memory, you can download all the results in the comfort of your own home!-not at the track or in your race car trailer. Suspension tuning can be done on the street-just make sure to follow all state and federal road safety laws of course! Also great for the Pro-Touring guys that want the best handling performance numbers.
Here's the features at a glance:

Measures 0-60MPH, 60ft, 1/8 and 1/4 Mile Times
Measures Horsepower and Torque
Instant RPM replay
Shift lights
No installation-Sensors are built into the unit
Works on all cars, trucks, pick-ups, and SUV's
PASS Software is INCLUDED as well as the download cable for your PC
Accurate, easy and fun to use
G-Tech's "Pro" Mounting System is designed to stick to your windshield and STAY there
Bright shiftlights can be seen even in the "heat of the moment" and in daylight hours
3 high precision accelerometers sense slightest change in velocity insuring impeccable accuracy
2 MEGS of FLASH enough to store over an hour of racing
Horsepower

G-Tech Pro RR will give you accurate horsepower ratings for your car before and after modifications. It's a great way to see if you are making the right improvements.

Torque

With the revolutionary new RPM pickup right from the cigarette lighter, the G-tech unit can measure torque and display a dyno-plot graph. G-Tech is the only people in the world to do this at this time.

60 ft Time

60 ft. time is a new measurement which helps with determining if your car is "hooking up" or not.

1/8 & 1/4 Mile Time

These two measuements are what has made G-Tech a household name with car enthusiasts all over the world.

0-60 & 0-100 MPH Times

0-60 MPH is another standard measurement with the new 0-100 becoming increasingly more popular with the magazines.

RPM & Shiftlights

RPM's and shiftlights is what Tesla Electronics is particularly proud of. They have invented this technology. NO ONE in the world can pick up RPM's from the cigarette lighter port. Yes, MSD Ignitions and even DIESELS work!!

Handling G's

G-Tech/Pro RR model has a unique new G-arrow that shows you the direction of the G's that you are pulling. And new large G numbers that are easy to read at a glance.

Record up to 30 Runs

With the new friendly icon-based user interface you can chose and review any of your runs in a matter of a couple of button clicks.

3 Precision Sensors

This is the only G-meter that has X, Y, and Z precision accelerometers. This improves accuracy and cinsistency. It allows you to orient the G-Tech/Pro unit any way you like.

And here's what the RR model features that the SS DOES NOT:

PASS Software

PASS-Performance Analysis System Software. It can be used for replaying and comparing road race/autocross sessions. It even replays engine sound based on recorded RPM's.

Multiple Vehicle Support

With the RR model you can memorize settings for up to 4 cars and jump from another in a matter of seconds.

2 Hours of Data Aquisition:

The G-Tech/Pro RR model comes with 2 MEGS of flash memory. This is enough to store over 2 hrs. of roadracing/Autocross sessions (10 Hz recording). That's more than full blown data-aquisition systems costing thousands!!

This unit comes with everthing you need to get started right away including the G-Tech Pro RR Unit, PASS software, Windsheild Mounting System, Cigarette Powercord, PC Download cable, AC adapter, and instruction booklet. Just make sure your cigarette lighter port works in your car, and the fuse is good.

Drag Race Mode:

Road Race Mode:

Here's everything the kit I bought comes with:

No Im gonna use it to see increases along the way, and post the data sheets so others car see improvements after certain mods are done. Its not a dyno, but its as close as you can get.

Honestly nick, i think this would be more appropriate for your "N/A Project".

www.auterraweb.com

It is a PDA Scan tool as well as a PDA dyno. More accurate than the Gtech since it actually utilizes the car's sensors rather than it's own. And if you happen to have a problem or trip a CEL this package would help u identify and solve the problem.

I have a buddy of mine that has the auterra unit on his pda, and he hates it. Its a bit(h to use at times, and is not as user friendly as it seemed to be before he bought it. I looked into getting one, but after seeing his firs hand, I wasnt impressed. Besides to get the optimum use out of it, a newer pda is required. It would work on a used cheap ebay special, but then I run the risk of that thing $hitting the bed. Then there are batteries, mounting issues.... the tool itself is great, but after rearching both, I decied the RR would be a better choice.
