I don't have any personal experience withbody kits, except for a Wing's West kit we put on a couple of our Eclipses, but I have seen plenty of good and bad examples. Just how good is a $550 fiberglass bumper replacement kit supposed to be anyway? I want a Bomex kit and you have to drop at least a grand just to get it, unpainted and in a box, and you guys are talking $700 painted. What's up?

Taiwan already have the Evo V & VI kit for their Lancer/Virage & possiblely the body is the same as our Lancer except the grille looks differently, so I would think some companies might start thinking import them soon....

Well $550 isn't anything accolade will probably commit to. Of course "limited" means we'll get the shaft when it comes to the kit. I wish at times I would have bought a mirage I'd have a better chance of having a poor man's Evo V then actually turning my lancer into a nice clean replica. I would pay 650 or even 700 for an HPP Plastic kit that would be nicer then glass but I'm with you guys Accolade is going to make this kit $1500. This way they only get to sell 5 of them and make 1200 profit per then sell 30 of them at a 350 profit per. But if you do the math you can see that selling more is better!

I've always been an advocate for "charge less, sell more" then "make less charge more."(just to call it "limited") For some reason selling dozens of an item everyone can afford rather then just a few only the well off can afford doesn't make much sense to the rest of the world. Go figure


Prove me wrong Accolade, make this kit something everyone who wants it can afford. You'll probably sell thru more of them and make more of a profit

well lets hope the post from body-kit after i put those pics up is a committment to make a kit that looks like that one. and i have to agree with STEN yet again. make the kit available to everyone not just a select few who will put down a huge dollar amount. more is better. how long are we looking at before we see progress on the construction of the kit?

 

the evo5/6 spoiler cost about 250-350 plus shipping. and I don't know who told that guy that the evo5 or 6 was only 550 dollars... the wide body cost about 1500 and the evo5 conversion cost about 1700 the non wide body kits cost 880!

anyway I think that the evo5/6 kit is ugly, retarded and stupid on that lancer... anyway I will be posting that pic on the 4g and 5g mirage/lancer community so they can laugh at it.

 

dude why playa hate the lancer in the lancer forum? obviously you like your mirage. WE like our lancer and it's Evo history. It's not anyones fault here that the mirage doesn't come from such an old and well liked lineage.

I came up with the $550 dollar amount because accolade makes evo 5/6 body kits for your old mirage at that price and it's listed on their site for that price. It only seems fair that the same kit for a newer car like the lancer be just a little more like in the 600 or 700 range (tops).

I don't know what you think these people are making these kits from.. gold foil maybe that they have to be 1700 bucks. It's plastic or glass bro and about 300 dollars worth at that. I don't mean to rip the/your mirage but don't rip our/the lancer in it's forum you don't see us going to the mirage forum and saying this crap. Please don't troll it aint cool
