Calling all Techsport kit owners, HELP!

How do/did you install the steel mesh in the area between the hood and the front bumper?? Any pictures and/or advice on how to install mesh would be greatly appriciated

FYI:
My car has been in the body shop for the past 2 weeks getting the Accolade Techsport kit installed. First off, the hood fitment was a$$ and it took them a lot of extra work to get it to fit properly So far it's not going so good

Thanks

This is the way to Install the HOOD in no time.

Also once you install the mesh you may not be able to open the latch,

You can rivet the mesh to the sides of the grill. Remember only to the sides so that you can leave a bit of space to open the latch.

yeah, i took out my rubber knobs, i also lifted the hood and made a guess on where i wanted my hood prop. I made it lower so the hood would be at a greater angle and allow me more room when under there.

Tidussj, I would really appreciate those pics asap so I can bring them down to the body shop on Tuesday Morning. I'm still unclear on how to install the mesh, so hopefully the pics will help.

Thanks.

Tidussj, thanks a lot for the pics bro. Is there any way you can take a couple of pics with the hood up so I can see how you attached the mesh?

Thanks again!

Funny you should ask, I arrived at the same problem when installing my hood and the techsport kit and posted for help on the Canadian Forum. Actually the bodyshop was the first place to notice, and they were like dude, where is the grill for the kit. So the solution they came up with was either a.) install the mesh grill and put hoodpins (the bodyshop I am dealing with does most of the work on the show cars around here and go for more of the clean look so they didn't recommend the hood pins). So we are going with option B. As we speak I am having a grill made, I will post pics when it is done but I am going to sea for the next month so I am not sure when i can get them posted, but to give you an idea, it will be a series of black tubes running lengthwise across the grill (matte black) That way you can still have access to the latch. Not sure if this will help but it adds an alternative to hoodpins and mesh grills.
