If you have read my other thread, I recently ordered a hood from Carbon Creations on ebay and they sent me the wrong hood, attempted to keep my money, and will not have a correct 02 Lancer evo style hood for at least another month or two. Anyway, I am going to order a CF evo style hood from RRM, but the hood they sell does not have a cover under the vents over the engine bay and will let water and snow in. I live in NJ and NYC so I am scared the snow will hurt my engine. What I am looking for is anyone who has removed this piece from under their VIS hood and will sell it to me.

I am looking for the piece that goes under the VIS evo style CF hood over the engine bay that stops rain from getting into the engine. I will pay for this part. Please pm me or post. Thanks a lot!

damn ... for $500+ they should provide a cover for the vents. are u going to send ur wrong hood back?

 

Maybe they can just sell you the part that you need? *if it will fit

 

are you sure RRM.s doesnt come with a vent?...

 

im almost 100% sure it does come with one.

 

No I am talking about the piece that prevents anythng from entering the engine that goes beneath the vents over the engine bay. It is similar to the plastic piece that comes under the Evo VIII hood to prevent rain and snow from entering the engine bay. Yes I am positive the RRM's one does not come with it, I have spoken to Gabe and Rob many times before.

Yes I have shipped back the wrong hood, but I am still waiting for a refund.

 

But that is not what I want sorry.....

that sucks man, ebay is risky, ya win some ya lose some, unfortunately this one hurt the wallet, but i hope it all works out. I just thinkin about gettin a hood off of ebay too, good thing this thread came up

... The Dealership sells them. For the evo, and they should fit the evo replica i believe rob said it would in an earlier post, don't quote me on it but...

I called VIS the catch they sell will run me a lot of money for such a cheap part, but I know there must be someone out there with this part willing to sell it much cheaper, please hit me up.
