EVO hood & SRI
EVO hood & SRI Question
Has anybody had a problem with an SRI and EVO hood. I'm thinking about ditching my CAI and go with the short ram/ram air hood combination. The real fear I have is it rains/snows a lot in kansas, and I'm afraid this hood will funnel water over the intake. Am I wrong?
Thanks in advance.
I also asked this question in another thread, ut thought it might get a little more traffic with it's own heading.

I have a constant fear of sucking up water. My thought is an SRI will put my nerves to rest. The hood will deliver "cold" air, as long as rain and snow aren't a problem. I have no worries over losing the CAI. It's just a cheap ebay intake... my first mod ever to my car. It works great and sounds good, but once winter hits here I think I'm literally going to run into some problems.
you shouldnt really be concerned, ive been driving with a cold air on mine, with water costantly contacting the filter (i removed that plastic insert in the front bumper to get more air). if you go on injen, i did this because water funneling into the filter concerned before removing the insert, go to faq's, and someone had asked about water getting into the filter and they said there shouldnt be a problem with it as long as the filter didnt become submerged in water. good luck.
