without projector headlights HID's are basically useless...they actually make driving WORSE for you because the light puts strain on your eyes. and its horrible for other drivers.
but hell....my set should be here in a week!

eh...but the BMW's have projectors on theirs and if the headlights are pointed at you in an angle they still hurt...especially on the fwy if your on the far left lane and they are behind you on the right lane the beam is still annoying...
they told me soon, but they haven't gotten back to me lately. maybe when i go home i can dig up the email.
Personally, i have HIDs in my stock lenses and i think it's hot. i also haven't been able to see how it looks coming at you, but im not really worried about that either.

for Lancer 9007 model I have 6500k and 8500k in Blue/white and Purple/white color.
check on my Vendor section, or just PM me for detail.
Pearl how long do you have this HID? I hear many bad thing for alot of HID system, over 70%+ of other HID system will burn out the ballaster in 6months. Even they give warranty, but it still keep burn out.
yeah, non-HID headlamp lenses do not reflect HID in the correct manner. those cars without projector lamps have special lenses made for HID. i think i've heard that HID systems without the proper lens is actually illegal because the refraction is too high. but eh, if i had the money i'd get them too!
calvin, i think he's looking for the actual projector housing, not the HID bulbs/ballasts.
i know what you mean about the ballast blowing out thing. my boy sold me my kid for 200 bux with a blown ballast. the place he bought them from kindly replaced it and the next week it blew out again. he also had another kit laying around with a blown ballast so we used a ballast from one kit and a bulb that matches the kit i bought from him. ahh what a nightmare. if another ballast blows out im goin back to Zenon's. this crap is too expensive and too much hassle just for some headlights.
If you have to hardwire your HIDS...MAKE SURE THEY ARE WEATHER PROTECTED (use electrical tape, make sure nothing is moving around and properly secured n sealed).

I can tell you a little secret about them, it is nothing about the weather to blown them. Our company has done some research for many many brand of kit, find out that most of the kit in market are not 100% made from one factory.
like...
Bulb is made from Factory 1
Ballaster is made from Factory 2
wire is made from Factory 3
and bla bla bla...........
as our factory HID engineer who test all the stuff, they find out the reason why Ballaster keep blown but not the HID bulb.
HID system is very sensitive, little current, AMP or volt go higer or lower it will damage the ballaster.
that is why you see many of them keep change the ballaster.
Our factory engineer has design a new kit, PLUG and PLAY. No wire need to cut!
Every parts is come out from one factory for best of the best, and each part is pre-TEST when it pack into the box.
Bulbs, ballaster, wire, plug etc... are from one design and one factory. Also the Ballaster has eclectircity protection, which mean if the power go higher or drop lower. it will automatic shut off the system, for without damage burn out the ballaster.
Any body who know the problem, see if you can get refund. Because i can say you will keep visiting those store to exchange them.
You may think off change to our system, i can say you will be more happier then before.
