Australian standard bodykit better than US ?
I've recently purchased the australian CG lancer, this car appears similar to the US oz-rally, but with subtle bodykit differences which I think some of you folk stateside might be interested in, as I cant see why you guys couldnt buy them from the mitsu australia parts dept.

Rear bumper sticks out less, creating more of a drop straight down the back of the car.

Front bumper is much the same, more of a straight drop off rather than the longer US style.
Different front grille (colour coded to body colour, no chrome)
Fog lights included with car
The car pictured is straight from dealer and no mods have been done (yet). Let me know if you would like the contact details of an aussie dealer for pricing of parts.

YES..those are STOCK WHEELS??? and those fog lights are the shiznet..They are 380 from creativesports.com.sg and if I can get em and for less from the land down under I'm all for it..post the info!!! thanks
Sorry, not stock wheels, although the dealer did fit them and the king springs lowering kit. They also removed the badging. Seems our dealers dont mind doing abit of spit and polish for their customers

Yeah it would fit, but no reinforcment bars = hit something and it breaks.
maybe HPP or urethane will withstand a small impact, but for sure at -40° like we have those days, it won't resist to any small impact without backing.
When you get a complete body kit, maybe the loss of bars is compensated with the look of the new kit, but having a quasi stock bumper and loose the bar, I don't think I'd like that.
Anyways, the fogs are really nice, they beat everything I saw custom mounted, it looks good!

You probably wouldn't have one because I don't think AU has the same impacts standards as the US. In fact, few countries do.
Anyway, I've heard the only way to really order those from the US is to get a VIN from a car with the part for the CAPS database and hope they can find the part in there. I've had a part number for the rear bumper for some months now, but it's done me little good on its own. Honestly though, I haven't been back to my dealership since my first oil change so my efforts have been solely through other dealerships online.
