I drive a 03 oz and interested in buying a evo style (7) CF hood. My problem is I live in maine and with the snow and rain I would like the protection like RRM has done with the 04-05 cf evo hood which has a slide to make it weatherproof. I havnt found a hood for 03's with this kinda thing and am asking for info on people who have hoods in cold weather states and how the engine holds up? or if this kinda hood does exist or what you do to solve this problem. Or mabey I just have to skip the hood all together.

it wont make a difference, if the hoods were dangerous for your car/engine, the hoods would most likely not be in production, or the manufacturers would be required to make a disclaimer. if you want it, then get it, the only problem that may arise is that more salt/melted snow and water get in the engine bay and cause it to rust and corrode more quickly.
