Installing LED lights...
I was in Best Buy yesterday and picked up a wireing harness for my radio because I'm going to try my own install for my car radio and I seen a pack of small LED lights on a wire that you could place just about anywhere (Tire well, dash, ect) and I thought to myself it would look cool if I were to put these into my A.C. vents and have something simular to ambiant lighting that I can turn on and off...
My question is how doable is this and is it worth the trouble? My biggest worry is having to get into the A.C vents in the car some how. I don't want to rip the car to shreds just to do a little $10 install but if its not that hard I will definatly try it.
Is it to much trouble?

if you want "ambient lighting". just do some neons or led's under your dash and seats. that looks real good. I knew a guy with led's in his chevy cav vents and it looks pretty sketchy.......(personal opinion), neon or strip led's would be a little more expensive but that install is wicked easy and there arnt wires going all over the place
I put the LEDs into my ac vents in my old toyota, it was cool for a week, but then I thought it was kind of stupid. It's real easy to do. Just drill a tiny hole into each vent. But i think under the seat or under the dash shining on the floorboard would look much better.
i had the LEDs in my lancer at one time..but during the winter, i think the heat melted the wires or something..cuz one day they juss stop workin.and to me it does look kinda stupid...under the seat or dash would be better...
