Hey everyone! Many of you have probably seen the pics of my car with the first intercooler I had on there. It was 9 inches tall and hung down below the lip of my kaminari front bumper. At first I was ok with it, but it started to get on my nerves, especially since I show my car at some pretty big shows now. So I got a new intercooler that is only 7 inches tall and I just bolted it up yesterday. My first intercooler was a tube and fin, this one is bar and plate and is polished so it is a major improvement over the first one. No more hanging below the bumper, looks so much nicer! Here is a quick pic I took with my cell phone. I'll be throwing a ton of new pics up within the next few weeks as my new fiberglass and carbon fiber interior work gets finished up.

 

Nothing better than a good looking silver Lancer. Get rid of those amber turn-signal bulbs and try some Xexon bulbs...you won't regret it. Love that hood, and props on that paint job on it. If I was able to get my hands on that hood, I'd would have done something close to that.

The car is my daily driver which kinda sucks. I've put some serious $$ into it now and I wish I had another car to drive, but the wife says no. I would have put different bulbs in the turn signals but I would get pulled over. Cops around here are *****es. I suppose I could do clear bulbs that light up amber though. I'll have to check into that.

btw how much HP are u makin??? any estimate??

 

havn't dynoed yet cuz I opted to do some other mods instead of getting a stage 2 clutch! It slips a little over 4 grand so it would throw the numbers off. Otherwise I would have had numbers already. I'll get the clutch eventually though.

 

Definitely get that clutch in there, then you're all set. The bulbs I have are Eurolite Blue Xexon, and they are the brightest bulbs I've ever tried. They are obviously blue; but when they light up, they are super-bright white. Cops aren't a hassle here; heck, I've had my license plate up in the rear window because I just don't want to drill new holes in my body kit. Anyhow, props on the boost and good luck with the shows.

PS : You should have been in NOPI ATL this year. If you have entered, you probably would have won the Lancer Street or Custom Category. Only 4 total Lancers in the show this year...very disappointing. But 2 out'a 4 had turbo so I'm really jealous. Yes, I do know that is a very long trip for you - I'm just saying...

the intercooler looks nice.. much better.. i think he got the hood from cerious performance but i could be mistaken.

 

This intercooler looks way better than the one you had on last time. Where did you get your intercooler and for how much? Do you still have the rollers on? Was it a direct bolt on?
