I recently purchase a evo 7 extreme kit from Accolade, currently I am getting it fitted by a professional. The installer has come back to me and said the evo bonnet need some extra work done to it to smooth out the small grooves or bumps on it, because its not flat. They are charging me extra to smooth it out.
Has anyone have their bonnet smoothed out flat or just got it fitted and painted?
They reckon it will look ugly when its painted if its not smoothed out flat...
I told them to hold on and get some other peoples advice here first before i tell them to smooth it out...

its probably a crappy hood because accolade likes it that way. yes u shouls have the bumps smoothed out... by bonnet i assume u are talking about our "hood" so yes do it. How much will they be charging with you?
well i am in Australia, they chargine me $300AUD to smooth it out and they said it will be 85 percent flat....but right now I can tell its about 75 percent unflat.....
I just dont want them to rip me off $$$ and its not going to be much of a different..

Would an genuine evo 8 hood/bonnet fitted on the accolade evo 7 extreme front bumper?
My installer trying to sell me one for extra $$$....i know the hood are slightly different at the front and vents between the 7 and 8.

no it wont do. but i would have them take the waves out, go inspect it though first, have them show u accolades crappiness... good luck, id say to try and get accolade to help you out but their a lil odd so to speak for a vendor.
i bought a accolade evo 7 extreme body kit too, my hood is messed up too, i need to take it to a body shop, good luck on trying to get accolade to help you with this problem, there customer service is horable. they didnt help me with my problem, they just told me to take it to a body shop, and didnt say that they were gonna fix it for me. they should have a warranty on those body kits.

you should NOT order from accolade... ever!
ive only heard of a few member not having problems with their evo7 conversion kit from accolade. blame the fiberglass! its always the unpredictability of the fiberglass!
rrms evo vii front conversion is more expensive... but you get what you pay for.

god i hate fibeglass kits... i ordered two from Import Trendz, and both kits were horrible. Fitment was off, the sideskirts were crooked. it was so bad my front bumper fell off.
I just ordered from accolade, the fenders, and it took them 2 weeks to respond to my e-mail right after they charged my credit card.
As a vendor, you can easily make your customers happy by being honest and responsive.
i'm also getting the k2 front end and carbon fiber hood from RRM.
I have a EVO 7 hood thats from Import Trendz. It's still in good condition. It's yellow... i'm giving it away.. but i dont know about shipping to Austrailia.

Just send the bill to Accolade. Although their TOS states they are not responsible for extra fees, that does not justify sending out poor quality parts. I don't know why companies think that they can just "get out" of helping customers by adding phrases to their TOS. If they don't pay, send everything back and dispute the charge for the parts and the labor claiming you did not get what you paid for. Then report them to the BBB.
