Hood Modification Possible?

I'm interested in getting a carbon fiber hood, but i want one with evo style vents. If i get an OEM looking hood, will it be possible to cut evo VII style vents into it without compromising the integrity of the hood?

Please help

I'd call Rob or Gabriel @ RRM/// and ask their advice...

There's a big difference between a hood duct like RRM offers, and plain holes in your hood though. I'd be scared to death of having water just running into my engine bay, particularly around my intake filter.

Not to diss Cal's hood, but having a functional duct is so much better in my opinion.

Yes, you can actually cut a carbon fiber hood.. And if you want a specific type of vent or holes, just buy a hood scoop, probably from erebuni.com or somewhere... Then just get a shop fit it into the hood.. But hope you trust the shop that your goin to get your hood beaten up....

I'm just debating what type of vents. I'll post pictures when I do get one. But yeah I walked into the shop they got all types of carbon fiber hoods laying around. I asked if they had a 02+ lancer they said no, but the guy said he could get one made with any type of vents
