well i saw that a few people wanted to see what the stock radio looked like red and no one had put up pic's so here you go ...all i used was a red sharpie on the radio coloring the lil bulbs and the clear plastic thing that goes over them . and of couse i just ordered the bulbs for the dash . anyway this is just to show people the radio in red. looks way better i think. sorry about the bad quality

how easy is it to get the dash apart to do this ? i hate pulling my dash apart but i wouldnt mind having that all red.

 

it's extremely easy, do a quick search for info about replacing the stereo and you'll find instructions

 

Its really easy, pop off the ac knobs, 2 screws and it pops out, i didnt use a red sharpy though, wish i did. I did this like 2 eyears ago and tried to put red condoms like the blue ones on. But the problem was they were 2 big, so i had to cut them. They are held on there by the plastic peices around them haha. Yours looks just as good with sharpy though.

 

yeah its not that hard . i got the how-to on here the only thing that was a pain was the radio. and by that i mean having to take it a part, color it, put it back together, find out its pink, then take it back apart then color some more then put it back together again. thank god it looked great the second time or i would have screamed . but for what its worth because of this mod i took out my aiwa deck just cause it looked better.

 

i only used a sharpie on the radio the rest i ordered the bulbs on ebay, like for the ac knobs,the shifter(auto),cig lighter,ashtray, those were red bulbs

 

where can i buy the bulbs and the condoms for my evo? thanks

UNeK02 - looks good. Its a good temp fix. Unfortunately, the heat those little bulbs generate will cause the sharpie to fade and you'll be back to pink lights

I dont like light in my dash so I turned it all the way down..LOL
