headlight try!

hey guys well i am gonna try and blackout my headlights myself 2day! hopefully they will turn out good i will post pics later on 2night wish me luck guys

make sure to get some extra silicone sealant to put on when your putting back together. in my experience it helps.

Good luck.

It's really not that hard. Make sure spray paint will completely dry before touching anything.

ok thanks 4 tha tips guys hopefully i wont mess up but ive been reading some of the fpast topics and it seems fairly easy! i think the hardest part is getting the headlight seperated!

two people is best. 5 minutes in the oven at a time is good. when you take it out, have one person pry them open as the other with a knife cutting away at the existing sealant.

It is really easy though. Good luck! Black headlights on a white car is badass!

i know a guy who painted em yelloow... looked nice, he crashed the car a week later lol. suckes

Just some ?'s about it, 5 mins in the oven at what temp? I dont wanna melt the dam things. Im gonna do this in a couple months, thats only part im curious about.

cant wait to see pics.

you can put it at the lowest temp on your oven....100 - 130 i believe. Preheat it...then when it hot enough stick it in there for no more than 5 minutes. If you leave them in there or forget they'll melt! Then afterwards quickly pry that sucker as much as you can. Make sure you don't break the tabs holding the headlights together.

the sealant is going to harden again so stick it back in the oven for another 5 minutes...then pry as much as you can again. Repeat till fully off .

hey guys did my headlights and they turned out prefect! i am very happy took me about 2-3 hours to do. hardest part was putting everything back together. i will post pics in the morning thanks for the help guys now i can use my $150 i was gonna spend on them on ebay and use that money for something else for my car! i only spent about $20 bucks in materials

NICE! i took my headlights apart twice~ once to black out, once to paint them blue(match car color) then threw in some angel eyes
