not meening to steal thread but its kinda on topic. what exactly does a vortex generator do? Does it help create more downforce on the wing?

Its design was to complement the Evo VIII spoiler by creating mini vortecies to flow over the rear spoiler to creat an additional <1% downforce. I just think it looks so damn hot! Where can I find an OEM vortex gen. for $80...

i actually got it over seas in korea one of my fellow soldiers who is over tehre got it for me at an import shop over there cost me $80 bucks shipped! and yes i know it flows better with the evo8 spoiler i actually have a evo8 spoiler im just waiting to have it put on and im trying to sell my evo7 spoiler now!

 

Looks alright and I guess it goes with the whole "looking like an evo" theme, but I just don't really see the point myself. Then again I don't see the point in a lot of things.
