I ordered it on 24 March 2003 but I haven't received it yet. When I do, I will post a Parts Review. I'm hoping that it fits and it does the job.

For $30 you can't go wrong. The only concern would be the amount of pressure the bolts can withstand, as opposed to the RRM or RMR strut bars that are solid welds.

Yeah. There just seems to be a lot of "Lancer" parts out there that fit the 1.8 or 1.6, which of course doesn't exist. Mirage, maybe, Lancer, no.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but this strut bar is the same one Makoto AutoTrends is selling for the Lancer.

edit: I think I'm gonna buy this and take it to someplace and have them super-weld the flex mounts ...

on ebay, i noticed makoto and procarparts with VERY similar parts, or acutally same.

even the short ram intakes. they're all generaic parts.

but even generic, things can be good so when u get it, hook us up with the specs and quality.

Whenever Procarparts.com decides to ship the strut bar, I'll write up a Parts Review.

The bar doesn't actually fit quite right. But a simple modification and it'll fit. Let me know if you plan on buying it and then I can make you the adapters to make it fit. I'll post pictures of the adapters and full setup when I get a chance soon here. I discovered that the several times in and out my strut towers and my being lazy and stupid and using the impact gun all the time managed to strip one of my bolts, so I have to figure out a way around that. But anyway...

Procarparts had good customer service when I dealt with them, they shipped things usually within about 5 days. So overall I was happy with the, and the fact that the bar was a lot cheaper than any of the others was a bonus. I'd recommend getting your bar from makoto though as i discovered that procarparts charges like 17 bucks shipping.. which kinda sucks.

If you want the adapters that I'm going to make or whatever else.. just pm me. (probably 7-10 bucks plus shipping for a set depending on how hard it is to get the steel and the machining time)

Later.

Steve
