So i was able to find a 195/45-15 w/o much looking really
at that tire size:

original total wheel diameter 19.61"
new total wheel diameter 18.45"

with those wheels when speedometer reads 60 you'll be going 56.47

overall your actual speed will be 94 % of what the speedometer is reading.
so your gap will be a bit over 1/2" bigger and your speedometer will be affected. The tach won't. I think that on an automatic tranny this could **** up the ecu? Am i wrong on this?
In any case, low profiles on 15's will look retarded no matter how much you drop it. IMHO

this reminds me. The other day i saw a chevy NOVA from like the 80's. It had what must have been 12" rims (I mean rims. They actually sorta looked like OZ's on the lancer) with pretty small tires.
But the funniest thing was that it had wheel locks on them
It's liek 12" toy rims with wheel locks on a 20 year old car with a 6" wheel gap

i found it pretty funny. i hope no one does that to the lancer.
haha

it's not gonna screw up the ECU. that's an incorrect assumption that it will, a speedo works the same way regardless of transmission too.

ohh my what im hearing , you can go 2 sizes up or down without getting drastic changes in your speedo, 2,3 mph tops, and what does allighnment have to do with speedo setting ?? Nothing put 50 series on your car , if you lower it get it re alligned ,you will be fine

ok i'm sorry but everyone is just going off the deep end a lil here on this. i use 205/50/15 kumho victoracers on my lancer when i auto-x (with an auto tranny) and it runs fine matter of fact it is a lil bit quicker out of turns with them. yes the speedo is probably off by a lil bit but from that calculator's numbers i am actually going slower than what the speedo shows (to me is a good thing becuase of cops) but if it is that much of a worry than get it adjusted. i have included pics of the back tire with the stock tire and the kumho tire.

ya, but there is almost no difference between 195/65 and 205/50 so....
195/45 would look kinda whack
but whatever, more power to ya

Personally I don't like the way low profiles look on the stock 15" wheels. 17" with low pro's look way better considering how big the wheel well is on the lancer. But thats just my opinion, everybody has different tastes, so go with what you like!

no thats not whell alignment is for. wheel alignment is done so that the wear of the tire is disturbuted evenly through out the tire so it wont wear too much on one part of the tire. basicly its done so that the tire will last longer
