Cleaning my car

Alright, so i clean my car very often. more often than i probably should( about 2-3 times a week) i bought my car used a year and a half ago and i seem to have some swirl marks from the moron who had it before me. no matter how much i buff it and no matter how good i can do a wax job, it just never satisfies me. a buddy of mine recently got overspray from a building paint job and was lucky enough to get it all removed by a neighbor of mine. now ive seen the work this guy does and its awesome. my question is do you guys think its worth spendin 200 to get my car totally clay barred, high buffed, u know the works, and how long do you think one would be satisfied with it

sry for the legnth of this but i couldnt stop with just should i pay for a wash

thx much

200 is a pretty decent price for a full finish restore. Although for about 400 you can have the entire car repainted at Maco. you could also try getting a fine polishing compound and use that before waxing. What youll have to do is remove all the old wax and then get down to the top layer of clear coat to actually get rid of the swirl before you can wax again. Thats what that guy is doing. If youve got the 200 im sure itll look good

I would try buying some restoring formulas, like the Sonus SFX series and try to take out the swirls yourself first.

the money is not an issue, although a macco job is a joke. lol. but anyways. at the moment, im juggling school, 2 jobs, gf and college(senior in hs) i would rather pay someone to do it, thats been doin it professionally than me do it myself. i have had the issue of whether or not to paint, but if i paint, im goin all out with door jams and engine bay, im not gunna take it lightly, so its gunna cost me a few from my best friends body shop. i'll wait on that, for now though im lookin to spend up to 300 on a top of the line car detailing. anymore ideas before i sit there and throw down on it?

I've actually been interested in the detailing business a few months ago but the idea never caught fire. If you go through with the detailing service, could you tell me the entire process?
