i found a place that sells aftermarket skirts for my 2004 lancer ES, there basicaly the same skirts as the one on the ralliart. I asked the guy if it comes with all the installing parts and hes telling me it comes with glue to glue it on the body of my car. He says that how its done on every car and it can be removed without causeing any bad damage to the car. anyway can you guys tell me if its normal to glue the side skirts on? I want to make sure its normal before i order them.

Also if anyone is selling there side skirts or front and back skirts PLEASE let me know, ill buy them off you. I would rather have the real OEM skirts but i cant find any used ones and there way to much to buy from the dealer.

I think tape is used by the dealer, but I could be wrong I dont really know

 

3M body panel tape. It usually has a red cover over the adhesive backing.

 

When I took off my OEM side skirts, it looked more like glue/adhesive than tape...

 

With that 3M stuff it is initially tape but when it sits out in the sun and stuff it ends up melting then looks like adhesive. Kinda like the emblems on the trunk. Same stuff.
