Sean : ok, heres what I'm thinking - I really like how the Evolution has the three star diamond logo on the back of the trunk and only a small badge that says "Lancer Evolution" as opposed to my ES which has the huge "LANCER" all the way across.

What I'm thinking of doing is shaving off the word LANCER and leaving the where it is. Then I want to try and find a smaller badge that is *SIMILAR* to the one on the EVO VIII's for the lower corner of the trunk, But with only the word LANCER.

That way I have the loof of the EVO Badging that I really like without looking like a ricer or poser by badging my wimpy ES as an Evolution which it obviously is not.

So my question is two-fold...

a)What do you guys think of this idea? (let me preface this by saying I personally don't like the totally debadged look - so it's either do this or leave it alone)

b) does anyone know where I can find a Lancer badge for the corner of my trunk if I decide to go ahead with this.







I did this two days ago...... i went to the dealer bought the small lancer badge off the trunk of the evo.... out it on... i will have pics 2night.. my friend just left w/ his digital camera and is going to email me the pics....... i must say i like the look........ but ill post the pics l8r

That sounded kinda pricey for a small badge, so I called Little Rock Mitsubishi (they also have the only two Evos in the state, they're selling them at MSRP). They said it would take two day to get, price: $12.

 

Im gonna do that then if they only cost $12! I want to keep the OZ badge on the car's exterior somewhere, but I can't make my mind up.

 

i paind like 12 plus tax...... i dunno when this kid is gunna send me my pics.... but when he does ill show u..... got my apex kit installed everything is getting nicer lol..... considering i was pissed when i totaled my old lancer 2 months ago..... never thought i was gunna get another car

 

I'm going to get two, one for the passenger side dash and one for the trunk on the opposite side of the OZ Rally badge (of course I'm going to remove the Large lancer badging)

 

Thanks Tyger, that's exactly what I meant. It does look tight, and I ordered that same grill last week...it is a cerious performance grill. I just got my Cerious Performance grill last night and I primed it. I am using a mitsubishi emblem I found on EBAY for my grill. It is a white logo within a blue oval set in chrome. I can "indiglo" the emblem (But I am not) I am going to leave it be, (Indiglo is too ricey). I'll post picks here as soon as I am done. Oh and I am painting the grill black and leaving the mesh silver.

As for the Lancer badge, you guys just need to go to a Mitsubishi dealer's service dept. and have them order one for you.

 

Someone told me to just take off everything on the back.....that way people would be wondering what kind of car I have....

I do want a red mitsu emblem though for the back

 

I got the small "LANCER" symbol from and it costt me like $13. I kept the mitsubishi symbol but I shaved the big *** LANCER from the trunk. I kept the OZ RALLY badge and put the LANCER badge from the EVO over the OZ badge. I have an Evo 7 spoiler and with those stupid little "mods" it looks hella tight. I think it looks 10 times better than the big *** LANCER badge. I'd post pics but I don't have a digital camera.

i have an EVO VII spoiler too, wasn't put on yet though, and I'm thinking that I might take everything off the back, except for the symbol, I might just replace that with the red that I was saying in the post up top
