I've always wanted an orange car. 3 cars ago when I had my first crx I wanted to paint it orange. When I started looking to get the lancer painted I knew I wanted some shade of orange but I didn't want it to be just plain orange. Actually my paint guy recommended this specific color to me. He said it was an awesome color and is really unique. Very few people choose that color because Lamborghini doesn't release the little color samples of their paint like most manufacturers do. So nobody really knows about it unless they've seen a Lambo in person or have a test piece done in a Lambo color, which is what I did. He told me about the color, shot me a test piece and I was like, that's the color I want! And it looks even better on the car! And to think it will look even nicer once it's all wet sanded, buffed, and out in the sun! I can't wait to see the final result.

So, are you going to be painting the interior pieces too?

 

Nah, I'm still going to leave the interior as a black and silver scheme. I might paint the silver parts orange later on, but for now they'll stay silver. The silver and black interior still matches the orange pretty well. I know another guy who has an orange del sol and his interior is black and silver as well and it looks great.

It is pretty close to your color, but not quite the same. Yours is more of a kandy or metallic color and mine is more pearl. The pics were taken inside and it does look a lot different in the sun. Cuz I thought about that, I wanted an orange, but I wanted to find a color that was pretty unique. I didn't want to copy anyone If you want to see the car in person I'll be at Tunerwar this Sunday in Hershey, PA. And the following weekend I'll be at the Ocean City show. I remember when we drove up to see your car, man it was farther away than what I thought! Took us around 4 hours. Of course my gps wasn't working right though.
