i too say turbo, but i hate to inform you that your going to end up spending more on that turbo kit. there are a lot of missing peices and things that need modded and fabbed for the tsi kit, so be prepared to spend time and more money than you expected. i would also go intercooled if your going to go turbo, in my opinion there is very little point in boosting the lancer unless your going to intercool. you can only run 5 psi safely, and trying to go intercooled after the initial install has proven to be a *****.

yeah i realized that i need to upgrade fuel, i'll have to tap the oil pan, get all gauges, turbo timer, boost controller, etc.

yes he did, but his was also the intercooled kit. i'm not too sure what i am going to get, after remembering that i would have to replace much of the stock fuel system, get my oil pan tapped, get boost and egt gauges (i know there are a couple more that are necessary), turbo timer, and boost controller, that raises the cost of the turbo kit to an extra $500+

have you considered looking at a road race kit still? you can build onto them later, and you if your set on making "custom" kit, you could start with their hacker tweeker kit. i'd just hate to see you peice together your own fuel system and end up with issues like many other people who have tried to do "custom" kits.

the thing is the cost. i was taking the tsi kit into consideration since it would cost the same just for the kit, and i wasn't really looking at spending more than that. that's when i realized that the tsi kit wasn't truly complete.

true, but i was only set to spend a certain amount when i was reminded that the tsi doesn't come with all of the supplemental parts. (besides, i will need tires soon anyways, i've been planning on getting wheels/tires so i've been taking corners a little more agressive lately)

just remember, you get what you pay for when it comes to a turbo kit for the lancer. Even though RRM is a little costly, it goes together perfect and has been proven time and time again to perform awesome with little or no issues.
