I had a custom sunroof installed and the rocket surgeons that did the work managed to put a nasty lil stain in my liner. I have been unsuccessful in removing the stain and I'm now leaning towards replacing the liner all together. Although my sunroof will probably add a few more complication, could I get a lil more info on the difficulties you had removing your liner?

Sucks that the sunroof specialists kinda messed up on your liner. You should have them clean it up for you.
The only difficulty I really had removing the liner was removing the sun visor clips, but they're pretty easy to remove once you know how. Other than that the only other problem is removing the liner itself out of the car. I had to lower both front seats and managed to remove the liner, but I did have to bend the liner a bit.
Putting the liner back in was just as troublesome, especially the C-Pillar. I couldn't get it to fit in its place right, but eventually i got it in. Those are the main problems I ran into.
Good Luck with your liner!

1. Remove all four rubber door liner (enough to remove all six pillars)
2. Remove all six A-B-C pillars (should be able to just pull each off, no tools necessary)
3. Unscrew holy **** handles (2 screws)
4. Unscrew sun visor hinge and remove sun visor clip (need two short flat heads for this, get leverage on both sides and pull towards you.)
5. Remove dome light cover and unscrew the screw in the middle
6. Once everything is removed, the headliner is held on by plastic clips, pry them off with a flat head
7. Remove the headliner (kind of hard to fish it out, I had to lower the front seats and bend the liner a bit to remove)
8. Reinstall in the reverse order

I don't think I left anything out, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!

Yea the paint works well, but you're going to want to go with light coats on the seats. I used too many coats on my liner, and it got kinda stiff (lost fabric-y feeling, kinda rough). You might want to search and see what other people have used, but I've noticed most people use the "Dupli-Color Vinyl and Fabric Paint". Search around before you go painting. Last thing you want is regretting painting all your interior fabric... will be quite costly to replace. Good luck!

I would say it would look pretty sweet if it were two tone leather, but I guess we'll have to find out.

DEFINATELY dont use that product on the seats, it wears off and onto your clothes not to mention it doesnt feel nice to sit on. I did my headliner about 1.5 years ago and it was still perfectly black when I traded my car in about 2 weeks ago. That duplicolor fabric paint really holds up well.

Taking the headliner out is such a PITA

how about just cleaning it and maintaining it's integrity? What do you recommend? w/o it getting all fuzzy from the friction!
