what do you mean by a bit, you didnt cut the whole backing and then seal it with some sort of epoxy or gasket like for when you do tailights? a how to please

after taking the blinker off you use the smallest dremel bit and cut away around the edge of the gray piece. Then slowly pry it apart. After you paint it to whatever color you want then glue it back together with either silicone sealant or i guess epoxy could work also

likely not. pretty much anything is illegal.

I don't see how it would be illegal being that most car dont even have side turn signals. Now if you change the color of the blinker then that is a different story. When i had mines painted black the orange shines through very well, but i had the outside painted. how long ago did you do this to your markers? how does the paint seem to be holding up? I know when you do the outside it fades and looks really bad. I might just do mines again if the paint holds up on the inside better...

painted the inside so i assume it will hold up just as long as my headlights. Notexposed to any type of weathering so it should last for years and years. Just like blacking out your headlights. =)
