Check Out My Black Reflectors

Finally finished painting my stock amber reflectors black today. I used Krylon Fusion Gloss Black, Rustoleum Reflective Paint (waste of $7), and Clear Coat. Matches car beautifully. Sorry my car needs to be washed.

The look pretty good. What kind of wheels are those? They look like knock off evoVIII enkei's.

The rims are 17x7.5 Sport Edition F2 Rims from TireRack.com. I wasn't really trying to get EVO knock off rims but it definitely looks that way.

It sucks.

Driver side, you just pull back the wheel liner and unscrew them.
Passenger side, you crush your hand between the fender and the squirter bottle to get the **** out...

The easiest way to get out the driver's side reflector is to take out the headlight. Three bolts 10mm, undo headlight plug, the plug above turn signal, take out turn signal bulb, and wiggle the headlight out (just take your time and be careful removing the headlight). The screws are super easy to undo from there on. The passenger side is the horrible side. You can take out the headlight on that side as well (just to make everything easier to reach) but to take out the screws you will have to unbolt the windshield washer fluid container. One bolt 12mm and one nut 12mm. The bolt you can easily remove once the headlight is removed. The nut is a pain and to do this you need to turn your wheel so you have access to the splash guard. I removed the bolt that connects the bumper to the fender and popped off the black rivet just below it (i think it is actually called something else but that's all I could come up with). I then pulled back the splash guard and pushed on the inside of it so it would pop out more so I could reach a hex wrench to take the nut off. It was a major pain but I got it off and then I could reach the screws. The screws are also a little struggle to get out but it can be done. Then you are set. Just make sure the paint is completely dry before you put it back on since you'll have to handle the reflector a fair amount. Best of Luck!

Just take off the passenger headlight and see if you want to mess with it. The driver's side is easy.

Probably a good idea. Just don't get caught up in doing too many things all at once. I used the same paint (Kyrlon Fusion Gloss Black) when I blacked out my headlights. Good luck with both projects! And if you need any help let me know.

I just smoked my reflectors not too long ago and the way i did it was to remove only one of the washer resoivoir bolts. The one closest to the front. Then kinda push it towards the passanger side wheel and i had barely enough clearance to fit a screwdriver in there.
