Hood installed

Well I finally got my seibon evo style hood installed and I think it looks pretty damn good. The install was fairly straightforward, only difficult part was the grill, which I'm gonna replace. We spent quite a long time fiddling around with it to get it on, but its not exactly perfect. The bottom is a little loose cause the screws won't fit and its not completely flush with the hood. I'm gonna put a RRM evo style grill in instead.

That looks great. The grill looks like it fit perfect. You did a good job on that. The ver. 1 rrm cf grill doesnt fit that hoods opening that great but its good enouph for me. Do you have any pics of the car at a distance so we can get the full effect? With the lift in front of the vent you can see the hood. Took me a few days to get used to that. lol

How did you manage with the washer nozzles?

^^
I did like your look without the mesh but I feel that the mesh gives it that pop. I have the evo grill with silver mesh so it flows, but since your ralli//art grill mesh is black you may want to paint the hood mesh black as well.

I got some washer nozzles from Crappy Tire, they're not great but they'll do the job since come winter I'll go back to the stock hood (I drive mainly highway so I encounter a lot of gravel and semis). Currently I don't have anything really planned, I might turbo it or I might simply buy a new car, I guess I'll decide when I have the money.

mitsuozboi, did you have to do any work to get the CF grill to fit? Were you able to get every nut on? Thats the problem I have with the ralliart grill, I can't get the nut onto the bottom two screws.

shame that the ralliart grille doesn't fit with more stuff. i'd hate to replace mine if i ever got a hood like this, especially after all the work i put into it painting it!

I think I only have 5 bolts in the evo style grill. 1 in each corner and 1 in the middle. (Ive been to lazy to go buy stainless bolts and nuts for every hole). I didnt have any issues getting the nuts on tho.

The grill kinda sits up a tiny bit. (its not flush with the peices of the hood that come to by the headlight). And it sits off little less the 1/4" around the top. Overall the fit is good. Noone has ever asks about it or mentions it until I show them. (mabey they are laughing at me once they leave)

heres a couple pics of the grill on the night I installed it. The fitment isnt "bad". Hope I answered your question with my book.

GREAT hoods, but you guys seem like good people to ask:

How do the cf hoods do in the snowy winters? I've heard they do just fine from some people but other people say that the extreme cold and snow is horrible for them..... I know amby just put his on, but anyone out there rock it all snowy winter and know the answer? I searched and found statements that contradict each other.......
