if you decide to get a kit, i recommend the Kaminari because it's urethane and will last a lot longer than other fiberglass kits. it also adds some style without overdoing it. may cost a little more but hey it's worth it. just my .02 if you decide to keep it. GL with the sale man.

 

uhh i think the kit is good but really ugly lol sorry. I wish they made the ken style kit with urethane

 

I know where you're coming from. I used to hate it. But it ended up growing on me and I wound up getting it. I also had bad experiences with Fiberglass kits...so maybe that helped make my decision..

 

so i still have the Lancer.. havent done anything more to it.. just been keeping it clean.. i dropped it alot more.. and the NEX coilovers are garbage!.. will post more later..

 

Decided to keep the car? Just read over the whole thread, very nice write up.. time for some more mods man! Not a big fan of those style wings, but i'll admit it looks good on your car with the carbon trunk.. keep it up!

Any updates??? seen all the pics and what not everything looks great..wing is alright but why not go with a evo 8 wing?

I think evo wings are overrated every lancer either has them or wants them. Cadi`s is unique and looks decent too.

Yeah, what's the deal with the Nex? I was thinking of getting the Skunk2 sleeves also, but the whole killing my shocks thing scared me out of it...I guess I'll have to find a good set of real coilovers or I'll have Amby screaming at me every chance he gets...

I'll eventually start my own build thread...but for now I'm just watching these for suggestions, I read through the entire post just now, you've come a LONG way with your Lancer and it definitely payed off. I'm definitely going to go through with my own build, little by little though.

Really nice work, keep it up, you're motivation to others who wished they'd gone Honda.

nahh i don't think every lancer wants a evo wing, i just thought it would fit better with it than his wing. overall it looks great.

I on the other hand don't want a evo wing on my lancer. I want everyone to know my car is a lancer o-z rally. I haven't modded my car for any looks except nice rims...i went straight for performance.

sorry guys for not replying sooner.. im actually looking to trade my Lancer for a 96 SC400..

as for the coil overs sleeves.. i think they are pointless their 'ride height adjustability' just puts your shock in a compressed state.. how long do you think that will last?.. as for the NEX coilovers i feel like mine are starting to give already.. i say save up for the GOOD shyt the first time up.. maybe some TEINs.. i wouldnt say the NEX coilovers are crap but ill say they didnt perform to my expectations..

so yea i have a buddy here with a jetta that has about the same amount of money invested in his car that i have in mine.. except his is all the engine.. so ofcourse his shyt is faster than mine.. but all my money is in suspension and handling.. so we took a ride 1 day.. a pretty hard ride.. and the plan was just for him to stick with me because hes faster.. so the outcome was: a lancer gliding through traffic and a jetta swerving and squealing all over the place for about 20 minutes until he gave up.. heres just a little 'lancer that could' story.. lol
