painting the spoiler...need help

okay, i just bought an evo7 spoiler from makoto auto trends (for $160.00..pretty good huh? ), well anyways i have some questions regarding painting the spoiler.

i know my color code which is T38 (blue peart 02 ES).

question is, where can i buy the paint (not too expensive) so i can paint it my self. i don't want to go to a body shop cuz i'll know i'll spend some more.

another thing, painting it...i can get my hands on some airbrush but how many coats should i give it before laying on the clearcoat??

all your help would help me alot.

thanks in advance...

I bought the spoiler from Makoto Auto Trends. I had a body shop paint it, 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear coat. Cost me $75, havent had a problem with it ever. When you install it, make sure you line that sucka up real good - and dont slam your trunk when you close it.

yeah i got mine from makoto also but i dont have an airbrush and it was like 5 bills to paint prep and install it, not to mention shaving the hole on the trunk. i was like 500? ok ill see you next week! and i never returned. its rotting in my closet right now. but i have to say it is of very high quality. props to makoto.

Get it painted and install it yourself. Quite easy if you ask me. Patience is all you need. And $500 to paint and install is WAY too much. I can understand if they're going to cover up the 3rd brake light hole and shave it. But thats WAY too much.

It's the shaving and painting part that'll cost you. I'm not quite sure how much, I'd say $2xx - $3xx.
