1st of all,
You only need 2 nuts for the Cerious Perf' Grill, not 4. Both Nuts go on the top bolt, and the bottom bolts you simply screw in face down toward te hood, they are meant to adjust how far out the grill can go from the Hood (Fitment). The Top 2 bolts (w/Nuts) hold the Grill in place.
I have the grill and if you adjust the 2 tabs on the bottom portion of the grill you will be able to fit it on the hood better.

That said I wasn't overly impressed by the grill, but it isnt junk either. On a scale from 1-10 I give the Cerious Perf' Grill a 7.

What I do wish I could get my greedy little paws on, is that Carbon Fiber Grill that is attached to the VIS CF Hood.

I said it's cool that other companies are making products for our Lancers, but what's NOT cool is companies like Cerious that go and steal other manufacturer's products and make EXTREMELY cheap mockups of it. Cerious has ADMITTED to Rob in an e-mail that they DID buy a RRM grill, and that they DID make a mold of it and that they ARE selling the exact replica of the grill. That is seriously a very bad business practice.

But didn't RRM just buy a creative sports grill and exactly copy that? Isn't that just as bad?

The problem with the Creative Sports grill is that it's made in Asia and sold there. It has to be imported by a Mitsu dealer (which they dont want to do), and u have to pay an arm and a leg for it. So Rob made it simpler for us to buy it and made it much easier on our wallets. Thanks Rob!

hahahah no RRM did not copy the Creative grill, if so the first grill he made would have been perfect and no fitment issue.

THEY COPIED OURS. But screw it, our new one is going to have bolts covered , way better fitment and look. AGAIN FOR THE RECORD, THEY COPIED OUR OLD GRILL (they admitted it to me on email.)
Here is the email from CERIOUS. Wanted to keep it to myself but I get upset when someone says we copied theirs.
Illegal? No. Unethical? Yes.

Mr. Robert Tallini

The Road Race grill is not yet patented(or patent pending) so any one can copy your grill or any product legally, I suggest you get a patent before more people copy your ideas. Your products are very unique and engineered well, almost anyone out there with internet access looking to make a buck can copy them legally, and easilly, and sell them on eBay or wherever they chose. I have seen many blatant copys of your other designs on eBay. You cater to a small market and you basically have that end of the market cornered, you should seriously consider patenting your designs. The images from Road Race of the Mitsubishi Lancer will be removed by Friday, as you requested. The Lancer picture on the main page was modified by my web designer, and approved by my ISP provider , the image is not the same as the image from Mitsubishi, therefore the copyright is not applicable. There was no proof on copyright on the picture, and there was also no watermark as of the date the picture was placed on CeriousPerformance.com. Please have Mitsubishi Motors contact me if there are still any problems with their modified picture on Ceriousperformance.com's home page.

Cerious Performance, LLC

By the way he never removed images of our car either. Basically, they have no worthy cars they have built and thus no images they have rights to so........... Can you say running this business out of his basement.

rrm, i had a question, is the new grill going to be so you can't see the screws and bracket/tab things that hold in the mesh, cause i think it would look 10 times better without those.

Rob,
I just got a lancer and a cerious performance grill, and i think it's good. It fits nice and looks good. I understand why your mad but you shouldn't be mad that someone else is selling you design, you should be more flattered than anything. The quality may be lower somehow but so is the price, so I don't see why everyone is complaining.
I also heard of your new grill design on another forum, are you basically just going to copy the cerious performance mounting system for your new grill design? I hope so because it works really well, and it's much better looking than those really crude looking mounting tabs you have now. I can't wait to see the new design! I love seeing new parts for our Lancers, its like getting presents on Christmas!!!
