I love everything you have done as well as the grill. If you don't want to swap your orange bulbs, you can do what I did and give them a thin layer of silver paint. I jacked the idea off some other member on the board (Whoever you were, thanks!) They still flash orange and look nice while off. Also, think about getting tint?

As far as the mesh... got it from a dumpster at my dad's work (they make paper machines). Just go to some industrial park or something and jump in the recycling dumpsters... all sorts of goodies there usually

I like that silver paint idea... I'll have to try that... not like a bulb is expensive if I screw up anyway .

I do find it humorous how the grill becomes the big split decision among everyone. Guess it is all about taste! If we all chose the same grill that'd be rather boring anyway.

Next phase of modding is scheduled for next year and will include:

Limited Slip
throttle body
improved brakes
coilovers
Intercooled Turbo (hopefully )

In case you were wondering I used Testor's aluminum colored paint (model car paint). Beware...takes longer to dry than you think.

I used "chrome" bumper spray paint on the mesh.... worked great and dried fast. I may try and use it on the bulbs who knows.

I've thought about tint... but don't want to spend the 250 bucks it costs to do around here and they seem to pull everyone over for it all the damn time and I don't want to deal with retining and crap... but maybe next year when I have a real job I'll just go 35% all around and that way they can only ***** on my front windows.

Yeah you just wait beootch.. I'll smoke your ***... in every straight... but then you'll catch up on the corners while i'm sitting in body roll heaven...

I keep telling him to get the windows tinted... but he hasn't yet... i got pulled over, and had to pay to have it removed.. then retinted.. and now i'm paying an additional $140 because they didn't get my ticket in time so i got a citation...

And of course.. here is the reason I can smoke his Lancer

My parents live in the middle of absolute nowhere.... fricken like 30 minutes drive just to get to the city limits of Green Bay, WI and not a thing in between!

As far as the rims... I absolutely love them... but that's cool that you aren't diggin them. As far as I was concerned those stock OZ rims were the damn fugliest things I'd ever seen for alloy rims!

Your car looks great but I would guess you are no longer getting enough air for effective cooling. The grille looks quite restrictive! You also need a bigger wing to match that front bumper.

The grill is from Road Race Motorsports....

As far as airflow... it actually provides more than the stock setup in the long run. The majority of the air for cooling the engine actually comes from the front bumper oening as the radiator is mounted low moreso than anything high and the Kaminari has much bigger openings. But the grill actually provides more open area than the stock one. if you take a look the stock is pretty tight and has a lot of structures in the way.

I don't like wings at all.... even the EVO wing is pushing it for me, but I really like the stock wing and I like the fact that it keeps the car slightly understated . But again everyone has their own style and look for what they like! I wouldn't criticize either way!

Later.

Steve
