you can get the decals on ebay real cheap. or even do a google search for OZ decals and you will find em.
I wont have them on for awhile, gotta get some tires for them first. Question for everyone. These dont have a clear coat on them, should i clear coat them and with what ?
well it depends on the powder you use. Some powders require you to cook the rims at a higher temp for longer, that can cause cracks if the rims isnt cooled properly. The powder i used we only had to bake at about 350 and not for very long so it should be fine but ill let ya know if i get any cracks
yeh. people have many missconceptions about powder coating. Its failry easy to do yourself even as long as you do it right and have a oven big enouph. 15" rims arnt that big so it wouldnt be to bad. they look awsome. As mine get more beat up from winter driving ill probably get mine done as well.
you can get a powder coat kit for under $200. That is gun and containers. Then you need a decent size air compressor. A place to hang peices to coat them. The powder.
The trick is in the prep. sandblasting parts is best. you cant have any oils on the parts while powdercoating them so you need to wear rubber gloves and wipe down all parts with mineral spirits after sandblasting. once completely clean and dry you powder them, Then bake them in a oven for however long is recomended in the kit. Take it out, let it cool... done.
My friend has a complete set up in his garage. we have done quite a few peices. IC pipes and such. Its prettyy easy. you just have to take your time and be a perfectionist.
example.
we powdercoated front iron, rear iron and middle peice (forget name) blue on his 13b rotary....
