i think the rear looks like a mazda. the lights + the third break light in the trunk. makes it mazdaish. but hey whatever
the rear end looks good from that angle but straight on from further away and it starts to look like garbage. Overall. I think its ugly. like the rest of the cars nowadays.
Dont knock it till u drive it
Test drove 1 already and it looks 10000 times better in person. CVT is junk but othere then that it is frickn sweet hope to have mine in next two weeks. The new lancer is all around better then the old motels ur getn the same motor that is in the new evo just down tuned (A.K.A. NO TURBO) this thing is going to scream with a few upgrades plus if u see one in person that spoiler those 18 inch rims the shark nose OMG I just creamed myself

^ I agree, I happen to stop by near a dealer today, so I decided to pay them a visit. When I saw this thing, I was impressed on how it looks. It looks menacing, especially the black one. Looks waaay better than its competition. I also got a chance to test drive it, a manual one too
. Overall, I'm impressed. I also loved the touchscreen nav

Its not just the lancer I was trying to emphasize, most of the newly released cars these days get certain comments that it resembles a Mazda. Hey whatever floats their boat.
looks like the new is250? the rear looks like mazda3? yea yea?
the one i test drove was a white gts with nav system.
the sticker was 19900 or something, but there was a 4990 mark up...
after a bunch of talks, the dealer wanted 20k+tax and stuff for a grey gts with no optional stuff (no nav no nothing)

^ Also saw a white GTS, my fav color is white, but I found the white one rather bland compared to the black and red which are my favorites btw for this car. Idk what the mark-up was for the one I drove...but yea, if Im looking for something in this segment, I'd rock this car over its competition. Love the nav and the RF acoustics.
Actually it doesn't resemble a Mazda, because even Mazda with its 3 series copied the design from Alfa Romeo, as much as I like Japanese cars and their performance/reliability, nothing touches the European design, thats from where all the trends come from. And going back to the new Lancer, it has a lot of European design cues, especially the side profile and 3/4 view.
