no stop worrin so much dude. it just unscrews. the only foreseeable problem is the paint changin colors, melting, cracking, or just flakin off due to tooo much heat. i know they make a paint that is heat resistant and actually blcoks heat. i used it to paint my calipers and drums with it, it won't crack or fade or anything becaause its made for heat. i am sure you can find it in blue, i had it in red. great idea though and mad props looks great i hope it doesn't get affected by the heat that would suck

ok to answer all the questions. i Wraped my Headers in Heatwrap which takes away half the heat they give off to the rest of the engine which ='s more heat in the exhaust='s more hp which='s less heat to engine... with the Heatwrap u will have NO problem what so ever with the paint on the header cover....... without heatwrap i dont know what will happen to the paint but its suppose to resist up to 1,200 degrees. and no unscrewing the sensor does not mess up ur cpu. it just unscrews like a sparkplug...

Good luck to all that will Paint there Headercover now
