I would try to cut a piece of plastic and kinda bolt in on from the inside of the hood. The RRM hood didn't come with one?

Where in Ohio do you live?

some hoods like the seibon evo hood for my 03 has a fiberglass water shield that bolts in and is able to be taken out easily with 6 screws. This might come on your hood. As was mentioned. Call and ask.

Water is not gonna hurt anything. At the same time you can install something under the vents to block water for the rainy months, I would not bother though.

All it does is rust the bolts. I ran my hood open all summer.. no issues except for rusty bolts, even with a SRI. Winter time I would suggest a gaurd simply for dirt/salt/rocks.

It depends. I ordered a Seibon CF evo style hood through RRM. The seibon hood came with mesh and a water shield. what hood did you get?

You could just run it without it. I've had no problems running open vents year round, and Mitsuozboi hasn't had problems in the summer time. For some peace of mind though, if you absolutely had to have something, throw some insect netting underneath it. That's what I did, makes it so you can't see everything under the hood and keeps more water out than if you didn't have it there.

Well, if he lives somewhere really cold in the winter, like me, with a vent, it will take a freaking eternity for the thing to warm up. Mine does anyway...
