Asking You Guys, To See What You'd Pay

I drive a 04 Lancer ES, in white. It has around 53,000 miles (I live in So Fla, you HAVE TO DRIVE EVERYWHERE..)

I am going to sell it as a Private Seller.

I am thinking about getting it repainted to a brighter white (You know the dull ES color white)
16 Black Spoke Rims
20% Tint
New Radio
Inside Speakers

You think there is anything else I could do that could attract a buyer (No Eng. Mods!)

Also, what would you PAY for it?

(Anyone interested??? LOL)

Unless the paint is peeling or flaking off, don't repaint it.. If you pay $1,000 or so to get it repainted you wont get another $1,000 above your asking price..

If you want it to stand out, get a full recon on it, nice buff and wax. Make the existing paint look brand new. My .02

don't bother repainting it, you won't get the money back when you sell it.

you will probably get about $5-$7k with or without the paintjob.,
just give it a good clean and wax, and you should be set

The bumper on it has a few paint chips here and there, but the full buff and wax is a good idea too, I didn't even consider it..

^^^Agreed with both, if you just take it to a decent detail shop and pay around $120-200 and get a full detail inside and out(wax etc) the apint should look good enough to an average buyer. The inside being clean is a huge plus to any buyer.

the rest of the options wheels, radio, etc is all personal preference so don't spend too much money or time on these things. Sell it as you have it.

yup. Don't bother on painting it. Still a pretty new car, so the paint SHOULD still be in great condition.

Go to KBB.com and value your car according to your zip code.

Every place is different. Not much, but you never know.

I'm guessing you could get about $5.5k or $6k. IF you take your time, and place ads in good places. Try your local. craigslist.org. Find your city and advertise.

If you were closer, we could of been talking lol. I'm looking into buying a Lancer again, but the 04-06 body style.

Good luck with the sale thou.

dont mod it at all. a whole re-paint might actually drop the value of the car depending. sell it as is. I agree 100% with getting it detailed in and out.

it just needs to be gone over and cleaned you dont have to put things on it because then they will have to change it if they dont like it

Since everyone is talking about your paint and not your question, ill help you. You should check out the blue book value of your car and start there.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I get what you are saying about the paint. I am not in any rush so I will hold out so I can atleast get a little bit higher then 6K because it is a 2004! (High mileage, but understandable for where I live) so I will sell it the way it is, I will post back for everyone when I sell it so you guys can ball park it I guess for you guys
