The noise you are complaining about is due to the spring binding up. When you turn the pilloball top mount spins a little but also puts some turning on the spring. The spring is unable to move with Ksports current design and thus you get the "popping" sound. Contact Ksport and tell them your problem. They will send you new lower spring perches along with a new top perch. You have to switch them with the old ones per their instructions and your problem should go away. I know mines did. Also you should soak the pillowball mounts in PB Blaster and then grease them up really well after they are cleaned. Use a good thick automotive grease and really work it into the pillowball joint.

*And also has anyone else noticed that one pillowball joint is looser than the other. I mean one of mines can be moved within the housing while the other is nice and snug...This is after cleaning by the way.
